Our school is starting a brand new arts program and we are starting from scratch! Materials for this project will be used directly for students to create art projects and engage and build their creative capacities. Students will use paper, paints, paintbrushes and clay to create art projects based on lesson plans that incorporate art history and students creative exploration. Our goal for this program is to engage students with hands on making, empower them with the tools and knowledge to think critically about the role of art in our history and communities and build the next generation of creative thinkers and makers. Our vision for this program is to bring creativity, joy and meaningful arts education to students who have historically been excluded from engagement in the arts. Creating this program will create HUGE impacts for every single student in our school community. Paints, brushes, clays, paper and a drying rack will benefit every student at our school and for years beyond!
