All of the titles of books requested are suggested from the Indiana Department of Education High Ability First Grade Curriculum or were recommended to me from an Indiana Department of Education High Ability training I attended. All of the books will be used in conjunction with the Jacob's Ladder Reading Comprehension Program, which will enhance higher level thinking and comprehension. Most of these books will be read aloud to my students and then they will work in partners to discover their comprehension skills. I will also use some of the books to handle the social and emotional characteristics of High Ability students.
