The setting for this project will be in an after-school program focused on the social-emotional needs of our students. The Christmas tree and the materials needed for creating handmade ceramic and glass ornaments will provide an opportunity to work cooperatively on building a sense of belonging and school community. By combining talents and different mediums from junior and senior high, this project will enable the students to learn from each other and share different skill sets. This investment will allow for students to learn pride in their school using the mascot as the theme of this Christmas Tree and ornaments. Their ceramics and glass ornaments will be designed using school colors.

About my class
