Think back to when you were a student. Were you stuck sitting at a desk most of the day? Uncomfortable with your legs dangling from the hard seats? Research shows students learn better when they are comfortable and have flexible seating choices. This is my goal for my students. My students would benefit from this large carpet to stretch out on as they fall in love with books and reading. The carpet will also allow each student their own space during group instruction. The comfortable cushions will give students a chance to move to other areas of the room and still sit comfortably. This is just the beginning of flexible seating but I look forward to the rewards it will offer.
