This variety of books and materials will increase student engagement and reading opportunities all year long. Students will be able to use my library to read these books at their independent level, and I will be able to use books as read-alouds or as reading lessons. The soft places will help my students to feel welcomed to read in my classroom space. The other materials will also help me to teach writing effectively and organize my room. All students deserve a print-rich classroom to feel inspired to keep reading, and books at their level to that will engage them to read. By increasing the opportunities to read and write in the classroom, my students will gain a deeper love of reading and will be better prepared for their education ahead.
