A new rug will enhance my students learning because it will give them a nice place to meet in our classroom to lay down and read their individual books, listen to a partner read and their teacher divulge in creative reading (I get very creative to bring them into the book) The students also use the rug to do math. The students use manipulatives for counting, addition, subtraction, and sorting. When we are on the rug we are crawling around at times pretending to be a creature from outer space, a dinosaur, a puppy or whatever adventure we are on through our imagination! A new clean rug would make a great addition to our classroom!

About my class
