My students love technology and I am looking to bring it into the classroom in an interactive form for them. Many of my students are familiar with how to use a tablet and are able to navigate through different apps. They love any opportunity to practice their technology skills and the learning opportunities are endless with the large variety of educational apps available. This technology will be used to enhance their educational experience in an engaging, hands-on way. We will use our tablets during literacy centers to listen to fluent reading and work on our reading skills and strategies through games and other activities. The tablets will also be used to extend math lessons and will serve as a positive behavior incentive. These tablets will be mostly used and maintained by the students to teach responsibility and care for electronics.
