These items will allow my students to sit at their desk and move, relieving anxiety, hyperactivity, and boredom. Children will stay on task longer, quietly moving while working. The hyper students have a chance to satisfy their moving without disturbing their classmates. Hyper or not, first graders need to move a lot more than a traditional classroom allows. Can you imagine a classroom full of students reading, writing, and doing math all while meeting their need to move? All students will be given the same chance to move and it won't just be the special needs students enjoying what every child needs.
