Students need the freedom to pick the books they are reading... and a good place to get comfortable and read them! Students often want to move around the classroom and sit somewhere they may not normally when reading a book, get a change of scenery if you will, and flexible seating allows students to do so! It also helps teachers make good use of empty floor space where students could be reading! Students are also more motivated and engaged in their reading with flexible seating! Many students are also fidgety or need to tap their foot while learning, bouncy bands help the students get out the extra energy without distracting their neighbors!
