With the Google Expedition Kit, my classroom will have no bounds. The VR kit will allow my students to explore the world virtually. It is a unique experience within reach with hundreds of adventures. "Expeditions explore history, science, the arts, and the natural world. Whether you’re roaming with dinosaurs or taking a look at Renaissance sculptures, there’s something amazing to explore for every subject." I hope that the Google Expedition, ignites a spark of curiosity by inspiring my students' creativity and imagination.By helping my students visualize information in a new way, it positively impact their ability to learn and retain information. Google Expeditions is a fantastic tool for extending the walls of the classroom. My students will love exploring the breathtaking images and learning more about the universe; students will enjoy the flexibility. Guiding students through an expedition that aligns with what students are learning will certainly boost the engagement. The most obvious connections are with social studies, where students can visit the places they're learning about -- ancient Roman architecture, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, Chile, and so much more. After using the kit, it will become clear that there are many possibilities in other subject areas. For science, students can take a trip inside the human body, check out animals in the zoo, visit the surface of Mars, or learn about earthquakes. In Language Arts, students can visit the settings of Shakespeare's plays, or Ronald Dahl's writing hut and re-creations of important places in his life.
