In First grade we are beginning to read books that have some meaning! We are attempting harder words and multiple sentences on a page! By having CDs and book sets that match, the students will be able to learn to follow along and read with the storyteller. They will learn new words by listening and following along first. Eventually, the words will become familiar, increasing their reading vocabulary! The students will use this in a reading station that will also have activities to enhance their understanding of the book! They will read the story multiple times per week during center time!

About my class
