It is one thing to show students slides and pictures of cells and other substances, but allowing the students to make these observations firsthand would be fabulous. The majority of the science work the students have experienced came out of books. My goal this year is to give students more hands-on work in science. I think this will make thing easier for them to learn and will also put them on the same playing field as the township and private schools in the area. The students will be able to make their own slides, under the guidance of teachers, so there are unlimited things they can accomplish.
