Flexible seating has shown to accommodate the needs of all students in the classroom setting. Students LOVE options and movement! Flexible seating, according to Kayla Delzer (2016) "includes burning more calories, using some excess energy, improves metabolism, increases motivation and engagement, creates a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improves core strength and overall posture of students." Creating a positive mindset of learning in the classroom ensures the greatest possibilities for our young students. Through options, such as offering a more comfortable and flexible learning place, students in my class will have a greater chance of gaining the information needed to succeed.
