Flexible seating isn’t just the latest furniture trend in schools, it is truly beneficial for students. Seating choices like wiggle chairs and balance ball chairs allow students to have choice and agency over their lives and learning, and allow them to move in a way that can help them focus during instruction. By donating to our project you are giving students furniture choices outside of the basic wooden tables and hard plastic chairs that have been in our schools for decades. You are helping students to increase activity in the classroom in an age where PE is not provided at the elementary level in our district unless the classroom teacher manages to squeeze it in. You are helping students who struggle with focus and hyperactivity to engage in learning in a healthy and self-regulatory way. I have done tons of research to make sure that my students can be successful with flexible seating, but I can’t implement it without your help. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
