I am working in a CPS school that is predominantly African-American but still has very diverse individuals. I think it is important to develop relationships and rigor with our students. As a first-year teacher, I am tasked with creating a learning environment that is both positive and productive. Our staff prides ourselves in working with the community to develop future leaders. My students need supplies and resources to best access the curriculum and get the most out of our class. With your help, I will be able to use these resources to challenge my students to reach their full potential. These tools will be used on a regular basis, helping me to differentiate learning activities and keep the material engaging. Our school’s mission is to empower students to create positive change in their lives, their communities, and the world by providing rigorous instruction in a nurturing environment.
