I am an upper elementary teacher working in a small rural school. My room is bright with touches of home comforts. Curtains drape the windows and a calming water fountain can be found near the library. I have fake flowers in a vase to add yet another level of comfort. I usually have student desks grouped in twos or fours depending on the class size. I like my classroom to feel calming and comforting yet functional and uncluttered.
