The materials such as Legos and Straw Connectors will assist with the STEM program at Immokalee Community School. These materials will provide "hands on" experience either individually, with a partner or with a small group. It will stimulate imagination, creativity, mathematics, engineering, science, and technology skills within my own classroom. I want to provide these opportunities for my students at a very young age in order to support the skills within the STEM program. This will provide a fun and enriched atmosphere within the classroom. Today’s elementary students are tomorrow’s creative problem-solvers. I want to equip them with the necessary STEM knowledge and skills to be innovative and imaginative thinkers. Lego Education helps make abstract STEM concepts tangible by taking teaching out of the textbooks and putting it into the hands of my students. I want to create a better understanding of STEM subjects while building 21st-century skills.
