I teach Biology to 10th-grade students. My students are smart, curious and outgoing. I would like to bring Qball into my classroom to take our discussions to the next level. Qball is a wireless microphone inside a squishy dodge-ball that you can toss back and forth. Students can speak into the microphone and have their voice broadcast to the entire class. Like every teacher, I have several students who, for one reason or another, don’t participate in class discussions, and Qball provides a better way to manage that than cold calling. I have heard from many teachers that Qball has done wonders to keep students engaged by inviting them to participate in class activities in a way that they feel comfortable. The Qball was also featured on Shark Tank, walking away with investments from not one, but three “Sharks”! I think that the more students become part of the lesson, the more they learn. I also like the idea of helping students work on their social and presentation skills by interacting with the rest of the class. Plus, it seems like fun! What a great way to keep students on their toes than needing to stay alert in order to catch a dodge-ball. This is an amazing opportunity for my students to be engaged and excited about accessing learning content in a new way. It would be amazing if you could support our classroom through ​investment in this fundraiser.
