In our 2nd/3rd grade combination class, every inch of our classroom is used to provide collaborative and quiet spaces for the students’ differentiated work. A rug area for whole or small group activities is essential in creating a useful, flexible space for the students. With a large, inviting rug space, students will have a new learning space during ELA and STEM activities, and we will have a welcoming communal space for class meetings and activities. From math talks to discussing books with a partner, this space will certainly be an in-demand flexible seating space for the kiddos! Thank you for your support!
