Each learner in my classroom has their own beautifully, unique needs and learning styles. As an educator, I always strive to meet each of those students right where they are academically. Fully funding this project will also help me to better meet the kiddos where they are developmentally and in each of their own special ways. My “wigglers, blurters, fidgeters, and emotional regulation strugglers” all need tools in the classroom to set them up for success. Please help me to serve each of my students, in the very best way possible. The items funded through this project will help students who need to engage in flexible seating and movement in order to focus intently on their learning. Additionally, in my classroom I provide an niche called “H's Harbor Hideaway.” This is a calm down and reflection space (NOT a punitive timeout). In the “Hideaway” students may choose sensory tools to help them to emotionally regulate and process their feelings. Items in this project will be used to expand the “Hideaway” choices available. Including more choices, will help to meet even more student’s needs than I am able to currently.
