Students in handbell class will experience the challenge of mixing tone chimes and handbells while performing rigorous repertoire! A set of tone chimes will also allow us to involve greater numbers of students in our ringing ensembles. Handbells and chimes are excellent instruments for students to practice musical counting, note reading, dynamics and ensemble performance. A classroom set of ukeleles will allow choral students to learn the art of self and group accompaniment. It will also enhance music reading skills and the understanding of chords. In addition to classroom use, we plan to start an extracurricular club for students to enjoy this instrument!
