Students learn best when they have some control over their environment. With all the academic rigor being placed on Kindergarten students today, I want them to learn in a classroom that is safe, comfortable, and inviting. With these flexible seating options, the students will be able to select their seat daily and learn in a cozy space. Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. Flexible seating has also been shown to improve behavior, increase collaboration, encourage sharing, and empowers students to make choices. This project will help my students be able to make choices in their learning. They will be able to use the different flexible seating options to allow them to be successful in the classroom. With varied seating options, they will be able to pick the seating that will help them stay focused, complete their work, and enjoy learning.
