I am requesting an iPad and a Dash Robot for my students to allow them access to technology that will help them explore numerous ways to code and solve problems. My students love educational games and by granting them an iPad and a Dash Robot will allow them to create their own games for their classmates to play. According to research, it is possible to teach coding to students who do not yet read. Helping pre-readers to engage in meaningful coding develops computational thinking. Dash and Scratch Jr. support coding for young students. These items will help my students communicate their thoughts in a structured and logical way. This engagement could possibly lead to a career in coding.
