The books that I have selected will help to support the rich and creative learning environment that I want to give my kindergarteners. Starting school for the first time, they will be exposed to many new things and changes each day. Our cozy classroom library will be a place filled with love, where they go to each day of the year, not knowing what to expect, but knowing there will be adventure, creativity, and comfort. As many of my students will be speaking English as their second language, I want them to have access to reading books easily, and regularly. I want these engaging books to bring intellectual joy for them. These books will contribute to a place of wonder.
