My school is located in Brooklyn NY serving a wide variety of ethnicities. My students value the experiences in their classroom. One of my goals is to provide a print rich environment that meets the needs of all learners. Another goal is to use these books to build language and conversation in a comfortable and open environment; all while building a love for reading! These students not having much experience, will be able to gain experiences through reading and project based learning in the classroom. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to enjoy stories from diverse cultural background. Through these books students will see themselves, their culture, values, experiences and even languages in the books they are able to read and share with their friends. Please help our classroom begin our journey and drift away in to books!
