My students need a comfortable and safe place to come together several times throughout the school day. My students are more engaged and learn best when they have a comfortable place to sit on. In my classroom, our rug is our safe place where we come together to not only learn but also build strong relationships. Our rug will be used daily for all subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. It will also be used for read alouds, partner work, morning meetings, games, and independent work throughout the day. The book boxes will be used to hold leveled books that students will be able to bring to the carpet and read independently each day. By donating to my project you will be helping to provide that safe and comfortable space for my students to come together each day. You will also be helping to instill a love of reading in my students as they will use their book boxes to choose personal books that spark their interest. Thank you so much for your support!
