My students will need a new rug so that they have a space for their own and feel belonged. The old rug I have doesn't provide much space and students would argue about being on the carpet. I tried tape with their names but that came off. A new rug will help students to feel relaxed and enjoy calendar time and read alouds. I am requesting a new because this is where most of the learning and laughs happen. I want them to enjoy morning meetings. I want to make sure students are paying attention to what is being taught instead of arguing over a spot. This rug will create a warm welcoming environment. From the first day of school to the last, they will have their own space to sit and enjoy.
