My students love digging into texts and asking questions, discussing topics and growing their comprehension. But, as with any class, there are various different needs in my room. I hope to differentiate instruction as much as possible by utilizing technology in centers, as well as giving students opportunities to use dictionaries to find meaning on their own! It would be much more meaningful to these students to become self-sufficient with their reading skills! With access to paper dictionaries, my class would be able to search for words during lessons, but they'd also have a resource to look to when reading independently. Tablets would bring infinite learning opportunities into the room during workstations, and offer students a way to learn even more about instant information!
