The colorful carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during our group discussion and shared writing time. The rectangles on the carpet will provide the students with individual seating with plenty of wiggle room for group activities! At this time we do not have carpet/rug with individual seating and we use painters tape as a marker for where the students sit now and we are continuously replacing the tape as it pulls up. This particular carpet/rug will provide more learning opportunities involving the alphabet and colors that are developmentally age appropriate.
