As a new fourth grade teacher I want nothing more than to provide fun and interesting literature to my students. At my school we have a huge AR program that encourages students to read books on their reading level. Students get points and rewards for reading and testing in our AR program. This is a wonderful way to encourage students to read and it in turn helps build students' reading skills. I chose a diverse selection of literature that will allow students to read books that peak their individual interest. I also chose books to reach all reading levels for my below level, on level, and above level students. All of these books are available to be tested on in our AR program as well.
