My students need a positive, safe work environment to understand and problem solve. When they are working with small groups or partners, having the flexibility to move around and be comfortable in their work space is important. This allows them to focus more on the work and not have to worry about being uncomfortable or in an environment where positive thinking doesn't exist. Most people (including students) focus better when they are comfortable and then they, in turn, can feel safe to make mistakes and grow from them. Learning from mistakes is the single best way to grow and learn, especially in math.

About my class
