Philadelphia Elementary School's two lead interventionists share a classroom where multiple students experience research based instruction to impact their individual deficits. Students need a private area to practice, study, and focus on their individual RTI academic goals. Some of these students have been identified through universal screeners of being at risk for falling below grade level. We strive to reach these students before they fall behind to ensure academic success in high school and beyond. Our goal is to close the learning gap as early as possible. These desks will provide students a place to take ownership of their own learning and give them a place for interventionist to work one on one with individual students. Often these students need support to focus and more individualized one on one instruction to make the gains necessary to close the academic learning gap that is needed. With your help we can provide our students with the learning space they need to be successful.
