The use of laptops will be a weekly activity in my classroom, especially with our new curriculum. Using the Pearson Realize program, students could rotate a laptop around a group for more individualized learning based on their own specific needs. This program allows me to see exactly what areas they need more help with, as well as provides instant feedback regarding their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that our school and many of my student's homes lack the technology needed to support this type of learning. By having at least one laptop everyday to rotate, students will be able to focus on increasing their learning! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student strengths, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and success throughout their lives. Improving English Language Arts skills is the foundation to gaining higher student achievement in all other areas. Students will be able to simply focus on improving their own personal weaknesses, and not have to worry about being lost if they don't understand what everyone else is doing. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
