This literacy center filled with updated books and resources will help and encourage students to continue to read and give 100% effort towards their reading and comprehension skills. It will give them differentiated instruction which will keep them engaged, and books and activities that they will be able to work on independently. Your donation will help us continue to strive to be our best in literacy. These books will be used in small groups. I will be able to work with students on the levels that they are on and help them move up level by level. When they are ready to go on to the next level, these books (and I) will be there to continue to help the students strive to excellence. Students will also be able to use these books independently. I will be able to give each student their level and they will be able to go to the center and confidently read the books that they choose (from their level). Building confidence is a very important step in helping and supporting students to become the best readers they can be. Having a literacy center that not only has updated resources but also looks great will always be a plus to a students achievement. For when a student is not comfortable, a student can not achieve.
