For the past year I have thoughtfully created a list that I know will benefit my second grade students and allow them to grow both academically and socio emotionally. I need your help bringing these ideas to life! For example, the cozy lounger will allow there to be a peace place in my room if a student feels upset or angry and needs to calm themselves. Additionally, I am asking for a kidney table and chairs to accompany it because it is a vital resource for my classroom as it will allow for me to assist multiple students at once effectively. By donating to my project, you will be directly giving to my students and bringing them a more quality education with materials and resources that they will appreciate, use frequently, and deserve. To keep my room organized, I am also asking for cubbies that my students will be able to keep all of their work in so everything is in one place. Finally, I am asking for simple classroom materials such as dry erase markers, wall borders, a laser pointer, and motivational posters to make sure that I have the resources and materials that my students need to achieve. These materials will be a great start to set up my classroom! Before even having met my students, I know that they deserve the world and I will do everything I can to set up my classroom so that they are comfortable, feel safe, and focus so that they can achieve their academic goals while also learning how to manage and express their emotions.
