Countless studies show flexible seating is a game changer in the classroom, and I want my students to have every tool available to them for their success! Our district has many students who struggle with attention deficits (diagnosed or not), who are at-risk of not graduating HS before their high school careers even start. I plan to use the standing carts and lounger to allow students the flexibility to learn how they need to, which is not always sitting at a desk for 52 minutes. By donating to this project, you will be improving the odds of academic success for students who statistically have the odds stacked against them. I routinely hand out notebooks, loose leaf and pencils to my students, so the bookcase will make them openly accessible in both the back of the room and the front.
