My kids are always asking to listen to music while they work because is helps them focus, however our campus does not have easily accessible access to appropriate music for our students. These students also desperately need role models. People who look like them, who come from similar backgrounds as them. They need representation and we can provide them access to powerful role models with podcasts and autobiographies read by the author. Our campus has a large population of english language learners, for students who have difficulty accessing content through written word, having audio books will give them the advantage they need to excel beyond their dreams. My students are the future and these mp3 players will drastically better their learning environment and their lives.
