Flexible seating allows my students to take responsibility for where they sit in the classroom. I truly believe in giving even young students a choice in how they learn best. This gives them a sense of ownership in their education. I noticed two years ago when I started this process of alternative seating that students come into the classroom excited. They love having a choice of where to sit and who to sit by. We talk about what it means to make good choices to make the day successful. Students learn best and are more engaged when given a choice. The product that I have chosen will give my students an additional seating option. The wobble stools are adjustable and will be used at a variety of tables throughout the classroom. This type of stool will help those students who learn best in a non-traditional seat; the "wiggly" child. I have seen over the past two years how effective alternative seating is in a classroom.
