Due to the remodeling of our high school, one open computer lab is being shared on our campus of 1,700 students. Our library is also under construction, taking away more from our already very limited access to technology on our campus. Given the huge advancements in online curriculum and educational software, it is a major disadvantage for my students not to have regular access to technology. Having Chromebooks will transform my classroom by making it more interactive and allowing my students to explore the vast online resources that they currently don't have access to. My students do not have regular access to technology in their homes, so it’s imperative that they have the opportunity at school. My students are eager to explore and I see endless possibilities for my English Language Learners to grow using new text support software. I have no doubts this technology will help create a fair and equitable learning environment for every student and help grow them academically into the adults they will soon be.
