Our small district has few opportunities for students not interested in sports, so when a few students inquired about a quiz bowl team, I was immediately on board! I love trivia games and game shows and the chance to foster that same love in students, students who often prefer to "just Google the answer," is an opportunity I do not want to let wither. The buzzer system will allow these students to practice the lightning-quick reaction times required in competitive quiz bowl tournaments. It will also allow them to improve their speed with retrieving information needed to answer trivia questions.

About my class
