My classroom is set up to be a visual learning environment. My second grade students build knowledge from everything they see around them in their safe and vibrant learning environment. These materials and resources that I have chosen will allow my students to take ownership of their learning by becoming independent learners as they use these materials and resources to build upon everyday learned knowledge. My classroom environment requires my superhero scholars to be hands on, active, and aware of what is being taught in their classroom, these materials and resources will allow that to happen. My second grade lesson plans are equipped with essential questions, success criteria, and learning targets. Students deserve the best opportunity to be able to answer any question asked of them, having a resourceful classroom with necessary materials is very important for an effective school year.
