Having tables will help students engage in peer learning. Everyone will have an opportunity to add to their team talk and feel included in their conversations. Rather than sitting at individual desks, student movement would be encouraged within the classroom. As of now, space is limited and movement usually requires movement of desks and chairs and often becomes time consuming. Students will then be able to flourish as the leaders I know they can be if we are able to get these tables funded. Students will be able to work cooperatively in Math Workshop with differentiated groups and student choices. These tables will also allow for easy transition through groups. Please help me, help my students!
