First graders are still learning personal space, developing good choices, and keeping their wiggles contained! Your donation will help fund a beautiful rug that has large sit-squares for each and every student. These individual spaces will really help my classroom management by providing my students a clear indication of where their space starts and ends during instruction/reading time. I do the majority of my teaching and reading from the carpet, because I find it more engaging for my students to be able to collaborate with one another as a group. I know my students will be so excited to have a colorful space to call their own! Your donation will also go towards sturdy and colorful book boxes for each student to keep their "just right books" organized!
