Starting a new school year is an exciting time! However, for many of my students it brings anxiety and fear. To help ease nerves, I want to further organize my classroom and materials. Coloring is a great way to help us relax during stressful times. Many of my students are children of color, and often struggle to find colors that represent them. I want to supply multicultural colors that better represent my students. Finally, many of my students come to school with trauma and insecurities. I want to create a space where students can go and feel safe within the classroom. All these tools will help my students feel successful in the classroom. The more stability I provide in the beginning of the year will help us grow as the year continues!
