This textbook is a vital part of instruction. The popularity of the course has grown but our school budget has shrunk. I am short about 20 textbooks for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year and I don't see a way around it. We are a Title 1 school with over 50% of the student body belonging to minority groups. Imagine being a part of empowering young minds to think critically and above all, question everything. These are future voters, researchers, business people, nurses, you name it. Statistics is a vital part of developing sound consumers of information. AP courses help save students thousands of dollars by earning college credit. The course also offers them 3 credits at the University of Connecticut through the Early College Experience program.
