These hand-held materials will serve my students curiosity by allowing them to analyze their structure and draw significant details about the person. By holding the bone replicas, students will literally be doing the same work as PhD forensic anthropologists. This is the type of experience that has the most impact, and can lead to a student choosing a career or going on further in their education as the work of scientists becomes demystified and accessible in their minds. Students will use the bones to simulate a crime scene where their is only a skeleton left. They will conduct a mock investigation of a crime scene using their past skills in evidence collection, crime scenes and other forensic techniques to solve the case.
