We have recently covered our daylight classroom lights with film and magnetic fabric to dim them slightly and received some lamps to help make the environment calm and welcoming. With this project the lamps will be used to make the room peaceful and help with self-regulation and focus. We had some lamps recently break and are in need of some. Our students prefer a low-lit room to complete assignments, assessments, work time, and help regulate their emotions. Also, low lighting helps with transitions. When students are coming back from specials or recess, it may help settle them down and get them ready to learn.
