Many children are unable to stay focused and stay in one spot. Having flexible seating would allow them to wiggle and focus. The school day is long and having to stay in one spot for any length of time can be a real chore for some. My students with ADHD would greatly benefit from alternative seating and it will give them the chance to take charge of their learning. Having flexible seating available to my students would be one of the best gifts ever. Many of my students have a difficult time sitting still due to medical issues. The bubble chairs could be moved to reading and math tables which makes them a wonderful multi-purpose addition to our classroom. Alternative seating choices helps give ownership of learning, which builds confidence. Confidence is one of the most important key factors to learning.
