We are requesting Formalin Sheep Brain to help them complete a hands on dissection to further understand the important structures and functions of the human brain. This project allows students to complete a hands on dissection of a sheep brain. A sheep brain is used because its structure is very similar to the human brain. This project will help students to identify the structure of the human brain. The dissection is done in collaboration with the Marquette University Neuroscience Department. Using this collaboration, the students further their knowledge of the students and discuss the functions of the human brain. During the dissection, students are able to see human brains, engage with mirror neurons, and meet college professors and graduate students. This opportunity provides an in-depth analysis of the human brain which allow students to be success on the AP examination.
