I am blessed to have a relatively large classroom. We implement the Reader's and Writer's Workshop Model, which necessitates ample time and space for students to collaborate on, practice with, and share out big ideas. Although my students love spreading out and using every inch of our classroom, it becomes very difficult for us to share ideas and address questions quickly and effectively. Having a durable, easy-to-use microphone readily available in our classroom will ensure​ that all voices, both large and small, can be heard. If a student is confident, generous, and brave enough to share his or her ideas, their peers should be able to hear every word.

About my class
